New mouse

Post by Earle on Fri Feb 06, 2009 10:54 am

Well, after about 7 years, my old trackball finally gave up and died on me. Actually, it now had more of a disability, or a stroke, b/c it wouldn't read the movement of the trackball all the time. Least to say, that wasn't happening....

So, I did a bit of research, and saw that the G5 from Logitech was probably the way to go, however, they have a new, mid-version out, called the MX518...

It is quite cool. The features on this are a real winner, especially the click window tab. You click just behind the roller, and it opens a small window that you can select other programs that are running. Quite handy. Plus, the + and - buttons allow for quick adjustment of cursor speed, for the zoomed sniper accuracy.

For $39.00, it is one heck of a gaming mouse!

No track ball for Earle? You sure you can still play with the common mans mouse?

I have never used trackballs. I bet it would make mouse turning in MMOs a whole hell of a lot easier though.
